Rendering Some loads are not continuous but brutal: welding shops, crushing plant, seasonal processing. A standard transformer sized for the peak would be uneconomic for the average. This high-overload design uses a larger thermal mass, higher-temperature insulation and improved cooling so the unit tolerates repeated overload without shortening its life.
