Rendering Instead of stacking laminations, the core is wound continuously from a single strip of silicon steel and then annealed. The result is a gapless magnetic path: no-load loss drops noticeably and the mechanical hum that annoys nearby residents is reduced. It suits residential distribution where noise complaints are a real constraint.
